10 Best Wedding Photograph Locations in Dublin

Dublin’s Best Wedding Photograph Locations

As a wedding car company we have been  to most of the places that you can think of where you can take wedding photographs, and always asked being for advice on where the ‘’best places’’ are.

The best advice we can give about wedding photographs is that if your hotel is in a scenic location that is the best place to take the photos. It will save you time, stress and hassle on the one day that you can do without it. Another piece of advice is to have a plan B in case of rain or bad weather.

A common thing we hear from brides when planning their wedding is ‘’ we’re stopping for photos & it will just be 20 minutes. In all the time we are in the wedding car business and the countless weddings we have driven NO photo stop have ever taken  20 minutes, so you need to plan it well with your photographer so as not to waste your time on this most precious of days.

If the hotel is not an option try to choose a photo stop that’s on the way from the church to the reception. Most locations will require that you contact them in advance for insurance purposes and it’s also a good idea to let both the hotel and your wedding car company know you want stop. We once had a couple who wanted to take a stretch limo on to a beach for photos and we had to explain that it’s not possible to take a car of that size & weight on to sand. Had they let us know in advance we could have worked out an alternative location.

We have divided our list of the top wedding photograph locations in Dublin in to North & South sides of the city for your convenience.

The Botanic Gardens Glasnevin.

The Park offers a wide variety of places for photos including flower gardens, historical locations and even a castle, one drawback is that it’s not really on the way to many reception locations unless your ceremony was in the city centre.
